Multi-omics for Microbiomes Conference

Multi-omics for Microbiomes Conference

This conference will highlight the latest developments and applications of molecular “omics”, imaging, and computational technologies to decipher the functional processes and interactions carried out by complex microbial communities; for example, those residing in soil, the ocean, and the human gut. The 3-day event includes presentations by internationally renowned invited speakers and a tour of EMSL, a national scientific user facility funded and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE's) Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER).

In collaboration with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s

  • Microbiomes in Transition Initiative – multidisciplinary research to develop multi-scale models of microbiome function and response to perturbation.
  • Chemical Imaging Initiative – delivering new capabilities for in situ, molecular-scale imaging.
  • Pan-Omics Project – developing and applying new omics technologies. Sponsored by DOE-BER.
EMSL, the W.R. Wiley Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory – a national scientific user facility funded and sponsored by DOE-BER.
