PNNL will host the second annual Belle II Summer School, August 15-19, 2016 on the PNNL main campus in Richland, WA. The School will focus on Technical Software, Computing, and Physics of Belle II. The program will highlight several hands-on tutorials and homework assignments to introduce and begin training new students, post-doctoral researchers, and more senior researchers to contribute to the development and deployment of the Belle II detector, technical software, and distributed computing system. We aspire to have a large majority of the US Belle II community participate in the School and we welcome attendees and contributions from across the Belle II Collaboration.

This year, we have another exciting program planned that includes a tour of LIGO, and tours of select PNNL labs.

The school will feature hands-on tutorials on

  • Database
  • BASF2
  • DAQ
  • KLM
  • TOP readout / trigger
  • CRT user analysis

(Additional tutorials are pending confirmation from tutors)

We are also planning to have select physics talks. If you would like to give a physics talk that you think is suitable for the school, please let us know.
