Belle II Operations Review: Visitor Info

Visiting the Tri-Cities

The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is located in Richland, Washington. Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick make up the Tri-Cities, where the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima Rivers meet. The area is home to about 250,000 people.

In addition to the laboratory, the Tri-Cities are known for wineries and agriculture, the Hanford site B Reactor and its role in the Manhattan Project during World War II, and the LIGO Observatory. The nearby Hanford Reach, Cascade Mountains, and Columbia River gorge offer scenic outdoors opportunities.
